SPARTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a 60-year-old businessman from Cumming was found slain at his deer processing business in Hancock County.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement Monday that it is investigating the killing of Nelson Garner, whose body was found in his business, Garner's Grinder, in Sparta.
The GBI said Garner's body was found by a relative around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. He was last seen alive at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Authorities said the cause of Garner's death was being withheld because of its value to the investigation.
The GBI said Garner stayed at the Sparta business during hunting season but was a resident of Cumming.
