DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
A 48-year-old man was shot dead during a confrontation at a Daytona Beach home early Tuesday, police said.
Lesley Bouie was shot in the chest in the 200 block of Keech Street.
According to Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood:
Bouie's sister was beaten by a man inside the home. She went to a nearby home to get Bouie, and the two went back to the home to confront the suspect.
While at the home, Bouie was shot in the chest.
Police say they have identified a suspect and are in the process of collecting evidence.
