Police Make Arrest In Chester Avenue Fatal Hit-And-Run

Police say they have made an arrest in a fatal hit-and-run that happened earlier this week in the area of 49th Street and Chester Ave.
Police say they arrested 45-year-old Jerome Brooks, of Elmira, N.Y., in connection with the deadly accident.
Deanna Teal, 52, was headed southbound on 49th Street and crossing the intersection Monday when she was struck by an SUV that was traveling at a fast speed. According to investigators, Teal was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the SUV involved in the accident was found abandoned in the area of the 4700 block of Larchwood Street with damage to its front end.
Police say Brooks faces murder, homicide by vehicle and other related charges.
