Chicago could see a change in disorderly ordinance

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago aldermen are trying to change the city's disorderly conduct ordinance.

It follows a recent shooting at a gang funeral, where two men were shot, one fatally.

Aldermen advanced the provision Friday in a meeting of the City Council's Public Safety Committee.

The amendment would allow officials to move crowds and pat down people attending gang funerals, but city attorneys say it would not give officers new powers.
