Susannah Cahalan was working as a newspaper reporter.  She was in her mid-twenties.  Life was good for the beautiful blond.

Then, everything changed in the blink of an eye.  She went from a competent, healthy woman to a drooling, paranoid, psychotic, violent, catatonic shell of herself.

She found herself waking up strapped to a hospital bed with no memory of what happened to her.  She lost a month of her life!   What was happening to her?  Doctors were puzzled.

After one million dollars and many misdiagnoses, she finally met a Philadelphia doctor who saved her life. He told her that he brain was on fire!

Susannah is now telling her story in her new book, "Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness."

This morning, Susannah was Mike's guest on Good Day.  Check out her interview.
