Water Main Break Causing Headaches in Center City

Crews are out working on a water main break in Center City this evening.

Police have streets in the area of 16th and Walnut blocked off so Philadelphia Water Department crews can assess and fix the problem.

Philadelphia Water Department says that it is a 12 inch water main that broke. The cause of how the water main broke is still being investigated.

16th Street is closed between Moravian and Locust Streets are closed as well as Walnut Street between 15th and 17th Streets.
