Authorities have located a 2-year-old girl who was reported missing over the weekend. Miley Yobnovich was last seen with her father, Archie Yobnovich, who has visitation rights.
With the assistance of the U.S. Marshal's Florida Regional Recovery Unit, Osceola County Sheriff's detectives on Monday found the missing girl in the Orlando area. She was in good health and was returned to her mother.
Yobnovich took Miley for a walk from her mother's house early Friday afternoon. When he and Miley had not returned by 5:45 p.m., her mother called authorities. Investigators had issued a felony arrest warrant for Yobnovich. He was still being sought by officials as of early Monday evening.
"He has had visitation of the child previously and he has never done anything like this before," said Osceola County Sheriff's spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain said.
"But she [Miley's mother] does have reason to believe that he will not be returning the child to her, that he does want to keep the child."
Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at (407) 348-2222 or Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 dollars.
