PAULSBORO, N.J. -

FOX 29 cameras were in Paulsboro Tuesday morning as a large crane lifted cars from the tracks more than a week after the train derailment.

The work happened as students returned to Paulsboro area schools for the first time since the derailment.

Classes were canceled when air testing revealed spiking levels of vinyl chloride in the air.

Several hundred Paulsboro residents were also evacuated as a result of the derailment but have since returned home.

Many of those residents attended an information meeting Tuesday night to voice their frustration over the derailment and spill of vinyl chloride.

During the meeting, many people felt they weren't getting straight answers.

Michael Hamilton tells FOX 29's Dave Kinchen he is worried about his children's health. He says his children have had nosebleeds and trouble breathing ever since vinyl chloride leaked into the air.

Other residents wondered why only one side of Paulsboro was evacuated.

Health experts say they are working to ge the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in town for door-to-door meetings with residents.
