Holiday drives for Sandy victims

This holiday season will be challenging for the victims of superstorm Sandy.

Organizations across the tristate are going the extra mile to bring some cheer to those affected.

Below you'll find a list of ways you can help:

  • Public House in Midtown Manhattan and NY Cares are teaming up to buy 100 gifts for less fortunate children. The event takes place at the restaurant on Dec. 13 at 5 p.m.- close. For more details, visit PublicHouseNYC.com
  • Ted Moudis Associates is holding its annual coat drive. The goal is to collect 20,000 coats for victims of the storm. Coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and other outerwear will also be accepted.
  • Donations are being accepted at the Ted Moudis Associates headquarters at 769 Madison Avenue, 10th floor from Dec. 1-31st.
  • Donations will also be accepted at other drop-off locations. Visit NewYorkCares.com
  • The Union Township, NJ  Police Department is holding an annual Santa in Blue Toy Drive, Sunday, Dec. 16, at Union High School, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. For more information, call Sgt. Bol 973-332-1556 or mboll@uniontownship.com
