ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
It's a mission reaching beyond the walls of a hospital, enlisting help making sick kids smile. A new contest, launched by Florida Hospital for Children, will generate videos which will encourage and entertain patients with cancer.
Riley Katz, 12, has been one of those patients battling ovarian cancer for the past five months. "I'm definitely through the worst of it," Riley told us. "After a few chemos, I get better at it, and I get used to it."
Nearing the end of her chemotherapy treatments, Riley enjoyed prime seats at an Orlando Magic game with her family. The Magic played their music video featuring Riley on the big screen at the Amway Center.
Before the game was over, the team put Riley on the big screen once again with a big surprise.
"Florida Hospital for Children would like to bring you back to the Amway Center in January to see the Justin Bieber concert live! What do you think about that?" the arena announcer asked. "Oh my gosh!" a very surprised Riley responded. "Congratulations! We hope you have a blast at the concert!"
If you want to join Riley at the Justin Bieber concert, enter the contest by making a video for other kids battling cancer. What's the secret to winning? A video "that could help you smile" is really important says Riley. "It's important to smile in the hospital."

Two winners will be announced January 18th, and each will receive two tickets to see Justin Bieber in Orlando.
