WINTER PARK, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Parents lined up outside Winter Park High School on Thursday to pull their kids out of classes. Many said they were not taking any chances after police reported that a threat was sent to a student through Facebook.
The school was placed on a modified lockdown and no one was allowed inside or out without first checking-in with security.
Police and school officials area trying to figure out why the message was sent and if it was a real threat. They believe it started as an altercation between two students and ended up on the social network.
Investigators have not identified the person who received the message or who sent it.
