Woman robbed in Rutgers parking lot

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (MYFOXNY) -

The Rutgers Police Department is investigating a robbery in a campus parking lot.

It happened Wednesday at approximately 9:20 p.m. in parking lot eight on College Ave. in New Brunswick.

The victim says that a man walked up behind her and took personal property that she was carrying.  Police didn't disclose exactly what was taken.

The attacker ran towards College Ave. Police say a witness followed the suspect and confronted him in the area of Kirkpatrick Chapel located on the Old Queens Campus on Somerset St.

Police say the thug pulled a knife and then ran away.  He is described as white, approximately 5'8", and 150 pounds.  He was wearing tan pants, a tan shirt, black shoes and a black net skull cap.
