STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -

Dozens of Penn State students marched in silence in response to a controversial photo taken by a sorority.

The students marched in a single file line Thursday around the university's campus as part of the newly formed group "PSU for All Student Equality."

The march was triggered by the photo that was posted on social media websites of members of the school's Chi Omega sorority dressed in sombreros, fake mustaches and ponchos with a sign that read "will mow lawn for weed and beer."

The photo was taken at a Mexican themed Halloween party.

"We're trying to advocate for the University to take initiatives that we feel would take care of real, tangible concerns that we have for those in the community and we're going to actually issue a statement on that," one protester said.

The sorority, which is on probation, has since offered an apology.
