Authorities have released sketches of two suspects in a deadly home invasion in Henry County. One woman died and her husband was severely injured in attack, which happened Saturday morning in McDonough.
Investigators have been working with the two survivors of that fatal home invasion and beating to find the suspects and a motive.
Matthew Reece says it was at his family's home on Sowell Road that the violent scene played out early Saturday morning.
"It just all happened so fast in the blink of an eye," said Reece.
Reece says a man and a woman broke into the home shared with his mother, 42-year-old Stacy West, and his stepfather Chris West. Those home invaders overwhelmed and beat Matthew as they also struggled with his parents.
"Next thing you know, I hear screaming and yelling from the back room and that's when I heard the gunshot go off," Reece said.
Stacy West later died at the hospital from her injuries. The attack left her husband seriously injured and their family forever changed.
Reece says nothing was taken from the home.
Any information on the home invasion can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
