Two more children killed in the Newtown, Conn., massacre were laid to rest Tuesday. Several memorials and wakes were held as well.

Funerals for Jessica Rekos, 6, and James Mattioli, 6, were held at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Newtown.  A funeral mass for Mattioli began at 10 a.m. followed by a service for Rekos at Noon.

A wake will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Charlotte Bacon at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Newtown. Her funeral will take place Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Christ the King.

Daniel Barden will be remembered during a wake Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. A funeral will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Rose.

The first two of many funerals for the victims of the Connecticut school shooting took place Monday afternoon with family, friends and mourners streaming into the funeral homes.

Noah Pozner, 6, and Jack Pinto, 6, were laid to rest.

Pozner's funeral began at 1 p.m. at the Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Pozner was the youngest victim having recently turned 6. People who knew the boy say he liked to figure out how things worked mechanically. Well-wishers placed teddy bears, a bouquet of white flowers and a single red rose at the base of a maple tree outside the funeral home.

The funeral for Pinto began at 1 p.m. at Honan Funeral Home in Newtown.

The boy was a fan of the N.Y. Giants and especially wide receiver Victor Cruz. Cruz wrote the boy's name and the message "My Hero" on the cleats he wore during Sunday's game against the Falcons.

On Thursday, family and friends will say good bye to Benjamin Wheeler, 6, at Trinity Church 36 Main Street, Newtown. The service begins at 11 a.m.
