"We anticipate 275 million pieces that are getting processed, which is three times more than our average," says Julie House of USPS.
Getting your package to the post office is important, but you could slow down the process and not even know it.
Here are some tips from USPS:
- Wrap your packages in durable paper
- Include a return address in that box
- Use a sturdy box with cushioning
- Take batteries out of electronics before shipping
As busy as it is, everyone is in a good mood -- just seeing all those red and green envelopes! Make sure you do not put in flammable liquids or explosives.
