CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

One Chicago third grader is doing community service for other kids, hundreds of miles away.

Beasley Elementary School student Samuel Love, 9, launched a toy drive for child victims of Hurricane Sandy.

He had a Christmas Party on Saturday at his dad's restaurant, where people brought toys to collect for kids in New York.

School officials agreed to support his toy drive if he agreed to cover the costs of mailing the toys.
