CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A school district in Pennsylvania is putting armed guards at its schools in the wake of the Connecticut tragedy.

The Butler School District near Pittsburgh got a court order over the weekend allowing security guards to carry guns.

All fourteen of the district's schools will have an armed security officer.

"The only time that the school police officers would ever consider using the firearms would be in a situation where someone is armed in the building with

the intent of doing harm to our children or our staff members," said Michael strut

Some parents said Monday bringing guns into the schools might be going too far.

The Butler School Board is meeting Monday to go over long term security plans.
