The Decatur City Commission approved an annexation plan pushed by the city manager on Monday. They're looking at two small commercial areas on the northwest and northeast sides of the city.
During Monday's meeting, several business owners expressed their frustration about the possible annexation and how a potential tax hike could negatively impact them.
The commission will now send a resolution asking the DeKalb County delegation to sponsor a bill in the upcoming legislative session to approve the annexation.
