Ariz Secretary of State testifies before Congress

Posted: Updated:

Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett accepted an invitation to testify before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday in Washington D.C.

This after many uncounted votes raised controversy in Arizona.

The hearing was called "The State of the Right to Vote After the 2012 Election."

Bennett joined former Governor of Florida Charlie Crist, Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz, South Carolina State Representative Gilda Cobb-Hunter and Nina Perales of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund to talk about the election cycle and Americans' access to voting booths.

Bennett said he looked forward to offering insights on the election cycle and "shed some light on Arizona's system of elections."
