Police are warning banks on the Near North Side of three robberies that occurred in the area in December.
During the robberies, the suspect quietly demands money from the teller and alludes that he has a weapon through gestures, according to a community alert from Central Area detectives.
He then flees on foot but has also been seen getting into a cabs, police said.
The suspect has been described as a 45- to 60-year-old black man, the alert said.
The robberies have occurred:
in the 100 block of West Jackson Boulevard at 12:53 p.m. Nov. 26
in the 100 block of West Jackson Boulevard at 12:37 p.m. Dec. 5
in the 500 block of North Michigan Avenue oat 12:05 p.m. Dec. 17
