Posted: Updated:

Early voters in parts of north Fulton and Cherokee County will head to the polls on Tuesday to fill an open Senate seat.

Republican Chip Rogers of Woodstock resigned from the Senate post less than a month after being re-elected to another term.

Brandon Beach and Sean Jerguson have both qualified to run for the seat.

Early voters in north Fulton can cast their ballot at a special polling place in downtown Alpharetta next to City Hall.

Advance voting runs through Jan. 4.
