A family who lost everything near the Hackensack River during Hurricane Sandy thought the worst was ahead, until they got a call from a special group of first graders in Middletown, Delaware.
With just days remaining until Christmas, the group of first graders at St. Anne's Episcopal School learned one of the greatest lessons in life, giving instead of getting.
The group didn't hesitate when it came to helping Hugo and Caroline Nieto and their three kids.
One by one, the students created a list and with the help of their community, they raised enough money to help a stranger in need.
