Jabari Parker to announce college pick

CHICAGO (Associated Press) -

Top high school basketball recruit Jabari Parker of Chicago's Simeon Career Academy is scheduled to unveil his college plans.

A news conference is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at Parker's South Side high school. His father has previously said Parker was trying to decide between Michigan State, Duke, Florida, Stanford and Brigham Young.

A 6-foot-8 forward, Parker is 1 of the most prized recruits to come along in recent years.
