CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The Bears haven't given fans a lot to cheer about lately and Lance Briggs says they can boo if they want to. " Fans are fans. Fans pay for their tickets to go see a football game, it's well within their right to boo, cheer, cry, laugh...whatever feelings come to them. As players, we go out we play and we have a right to be happy sad, upset and p'd off. And with the way social media works now, everyone gets to find out how you feel more often now than probably in years past."

Briggs said right now his team is feeling upbeat and confident.

But admitted disbelief in the teams fall from 7 and 1 to 8and 6.

"Literally this is my worst nightmare." Henry Melton echoed the thought, "kind of two years in a row, go on a little slide, you're looking up at the scoreboard thinking, how are we in this position again."

But the Bears don't have time to be frustrated or concerned with what's already happened. They can only focus on the fact that there is still hope as they head to Arizona. The Cardinals have dropped 9 of 10, and are led by unknown rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley. "I've heard of Lindley. I went to school with a Lindsey Lindley...I know a Kevin Lindley from Sacramento." All joking aside, the quarterback doesn't matter. The Bears have to find a way to win. Getting Melton and Tim Jennings back would be a huge boost for the team. Both practiced Thursday and barring set backs will return on Sunday. All hands on deck with the post season on the line.

MELTON'S MISHAP: Henry Melton's injury happened during the Minnesota game. He reluctantly told us how he hurt his collar bone- at first saying he was being "sloppy" falling on the turf- saying it was kind of embarrassing. .Later explaining, "I just tripped. I'm really more athletic than that play, so I call it being sloppy. I was running sideways, and I just kind of tripped over a bunch of guys feet and just fell straight on my shoulder, I was like 'why did I even fall like that.'"

INJURIES: As mentioned, Melton, and Jennings returned to practice- indoors. Earl Bennett, Geno Hayes, Shea McClellin also among the practicing on a limited basis. And if they are all healthy, they will play. Brandon Marshall (hamstring) and Blake Costanzo (calf) also limited today but nothing to be too concerned about.

Given their history, last season sure was an odd one for the Chicago Bears. Just as they finally managed to get things right on offense, their defense pulled off quite a disappearing act. Well, it's back. At least, the Bears think it's back.
