Kennesaw State is mourning the loss of a track and field student athlete. Jonathan Garner died last Friday of unknown causes.
Head coach Andy Eggerth says Garner was affection ally called "Lil' Johnny" but there was nothing little about him. The coach said he had a big heart, he ran big and had big things ahead of him.
Garner was a track standout at Roswell High School and competed in the Junior Olympics.
Kennesaw State is working with the family to hold an on-campus memorial service.
