An accused killer on the run has exchanged emails with a metro Atlanta newspaper reporter.
John Kristofak, 58, is wanted for the murder of his ex-wife 48-year-old Donna Nations Kristofak.
Cobb County police family believe Donna Kristofak was killed in the garage Saturday by her ex-husband. Her family and friends say she was stabbed to death.
Investigators have launched a manhunt for John Kristofak.
"Let me say by the time you get this, I will be dead," he wrote.
Kristofak seems to admit to something, writing, "Also there is no justifying what I did and I'm sure I will burn in hell for it."
Kristofak then goes on to tell the newspaper reporter about a bitter breakup.
"Donna and I went through an acrimonious divorce and it was hard on everyone, especially the kids," he wrote.
He then wrote about a domestic violence incident that led to his arrest.
"One night, words turn into a shoving match and I was justifiably slapped with a [temporary restraining order,]" Kristofak said.
Kristofak also admits to other charges against him, writing, " "I put ugly signs in her yard. Right away, I'm hit with aggravated stalking which was fair."
Police have released very few details about the case because it is an active investigation, but they do consider Kristofak to be armed and dangerous.
Cobb County police believe John Kristofak is driving a brown 2012 Chevy Equinox with Georgia license tag number BUV2635.
Anyone who sees that vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately.
