ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Orlando Police Department spent all of early Friday morning investigating a shooting that killed a man near the Mall at Millenia area. The murder happened around 12:35 a.m. in the Village Apartments at 5048 Millenia Boulevard.
On Saturday, the OPD Homicide Unit identified the victim as 33-year-old Maximo Carreno Cortes.
When detectives arrived to the scene, they found a man lying in the parking lot with a gun shot wounds. At this point in the investigation, officers don't have any leads, a motive or a suspect.
The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time, so that the next of kin can be notified. If anyone has any information concerning this crime, please call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
There is a $5000 reward available for anyone who helps to lead authorities to an arrest.
