ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

An Orlando middle school teacher is paying his respects to those affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in a unique way.

Science teacher Rafael Martin is running 50 miles to raise money for the victims and families of the tragedy in Connecticut.

Martin teaches at Innovations Middle Charter School on Hiawassee Road in Orlando and posted a picture right before his run on their Facebook page.

He is running from his school to Kissimmee City Hall and back, which he thinks should take until 8 p.m.

Follow Martin's run on his personal Facebook page.
