Crews Preparing For Party In Times Square

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Preparations are under way for one of the largest New Year's celebrations in the entire world. Of course, we are talking about the big ball drop in New York City's Times Square.

The celebration features musical performances, balloons, pompom's, confetti and a million people out there partying in the streets.

This year's ball drop will be missing a very familiar face. Dick Clark died back in April, but his widow plans to be at the New Year's event.

There will be a special tribute to the beloved host when confetti with fans' messages to the late Dick Clark will be dropped at midnight.
