Man dies after being dropped off at hospital with gunshot wound

DELAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting this morning after a man was dropped off at Florida Hospital DeLand late New Year's Day suffering from a gunshot wound, where he died, deputies said.

Antwan Harris, 25, was shot Tuesday near the 900 block of South Parsons Avenue in DeLand and was dropped off at the hospital just after 11:15 p.m., the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said. He was pronounced dead just before midnight.

It's not yet known who brought the man to the hospital.

Anyone with information in the shooting is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 386-736-5999, call Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS or text a tip by texting "TIP231 plus the message" to CRIMES.
