Deputies: Man tried suffocating woman with duct tape - FOX 35 News Orlando

A man in Madeira Beach has been charged with attempted murder after deputies say he tried to suffocate his girlfriend with duct tape.

Brandon Lagodny is accused of holding his girlfriend down and wrapping tape around her head and mouth so she couldn't breathe.

He apparently had been planning the attack for quite some time, deputies said. The woman survived the ordeal.

Lagodny was arrested and taken to Pinellas County jail, where he's being held without bond.
