Crews worked to repair a water main break in downtown Atlanta on Friday afternoon. The break occurred at Courtland Street and Edgewood Avenue just before 4 p.m.
SkyFOX 5 showed water pouring down the street in front of the Georgia Book Store. FOX 5's Doug Evans said that no water had gotten into the store.
According Janet Ward of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, a contract worker hit a large main.
Commercial customers will be without power for a couple of hours, but no residents were without water, according to Ward.
Ward said that repairs were continuing late Friday. Gas lines were giving crews difficulty, according to Ward.
