Report: Welfare Money Withdrawn at Strip Clubs

The NYPOST is reporting that a review of millions of welfare EBT card transactions show cash was withdrawn at strip clubs, liquor stores, and porn shops. The cash assistance program is supposed to be used to help with rent or paying bills, but once the cash is withdrawn there's no way to track it. The Post reports lawmakers efforts in New York  to clamp down on abuses have been stalled, and it was just last March that an effort to do the same in Florida died in at the committee level in the House of Representatives.
