Dennehy School of Irish Dance co-founder dies

Monday brought some sad news for the family of a prominent figure in the Irish dancing world.

Dennis Dennehy, the co-founder of the Dennehy School of Irish Dance, has passed away. Dennehy and his wife Marge founded the school more than 50 years ago.

Their most famous pupil was Michael Flatley - the star of Lord of the Dance.

An announcement about Dennehy's death was posted today on the school's website.
