Authorities continue to search this morning for suspects in the shooting of two Valencia College students near the University of Central Florida early Monday evening.
Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff's Office said they got a call around 6 p.m. Monday about a shooting that occurred at the Campus Crossings Apartments at 12000 Royal Wulff Lane.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds. The men are identified as Vincent Cruz, 20, and Antwon Ollins, 19.
Both men drove themselves outside of the complex, where deputies were able to make contact with them and call Orange County Fire Rescue to come and treat them, authorities said.
Cruz and Ollins were later transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
At no point was UCF on lockdown.
No one else near or on the campus was hurt, but the university sent out a text message and an email advisory making the students, faculty and staff aware of the situation. It said, "Shooting near main campus. Police searching for main suspect. Report suspicious activities to 911. More info when ready."
It is unknown at this time whether or not the victims or the suspects knew each other.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
