Chocolate Chip Cookies
Butter 1 lb 4 oz.
Sugar 1 lb 4 oz.
Brown Sugar 8 oz.
Molasses 3/4 cup
Eggs 5
All purpose Flour 2 lbs. 3 oz.
Vanilla 1/2 tsp.
Salt 1/2 tsp.
Baking Soda 2 1/2 tsp.
Chocolate Chips 2 lbs.
Chopped Walnuts 2 1/2 Cups (optional)
1. Cream butter and both sugars together.
2. Add Molasses
3. Add Eggs and Vanilla
4. In a separate bowl, sift together Flour, Salt and Baking Soda 5. Add flour mixture in 3 additions.
6. Add Chocolate Chips and Walnuts
7. Chill for 1 hour before scooping with a small ice cream scoop.
8. Bake at 325 for 8-10 minutes. Tap the cookie sheet once when the cookies come out of the oven.
Yield 6 dzn.
