MELBOURNE, Australia -
Police in Australia have arrested four men who were allegedly involved in an assault while dressed as Smurf cartoon characters.
The assault took place outside of a Melbourne convenience store in December 2012.
Victoria Police say a man in his 30s was assaulted by the men who wore blue body paint and different color pants and hats.
The men turned themselves into police Wednesday. Three of the men were 19-years-old and the fourth was 18-years-old.
Officers say they all face assault related offences.
