A suburban Chicago man has been sentenced to two years in prison for stockpiling machine guns without a Firearm Owner's Identification card.
DuPage County authorities say 45-year-old Tony Johnson of Bartlett was arrested in May after police found the guns and containers of bomb-making chemicals in a building in Roselle.
The Daily Herald in Arlington Heights reports Johnson pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony firearm possession without an identification card. He was sentenced by DuPage County Judge George Bakalis.
Although Johnson must serve at least a year of his sentence before he becomes eligible for parole, he could be released in four months when credited with time served in the DuPage County Jail.
