ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Florida United Numismatists Convention is being held in Orlando, and this year, a rare coin worth more than $2 million takes center stage.
The 1913 "Liberty Head" nickel is believed to be one of five such coins still in existence.
"It was recovered from a car crash in 1962 and kept in a closet for 41 years, because the owners were told it was a fake," said Don Pearlman with Heritage Auctions.
It wasn't a fake, and the coin's estimated value is at least $2.5 million dollars. It is on display at the Orange County Convention Center this weekend.
