Will the Atlanta Falcons finally win a playoff game? The last time they did was on January 15th, 2005, when they advanced to the second round of the playoffs.

Despite the eight year dry spell, history could be on the Falcons side. The Associated Press, citing stats from STATS LLC, says the last time a west coast team won back-to-back postseason games on the East Coast was the 1989 Los Angeles Rams. The research included teams from Seattle, Oakland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Arizona.

ESPN says the Atlanta Falcons should win the game. The site says the last time the Falcons beat the Seahawks was in 2007, and they clobbered them, 44-14.

While we all hope the Falcons will win the game, what do fans of the Seattle Seahawks have to say about the game? The Field Gulls, a fan site dedicated to the Seahawks, offers an interesting analysis of the game, saying it will be a high scoring contest, but it doesn't come out with a prediction of a win for the Seahawks.

The comments that followed the analysis seemed to alleviate that omission with numerous posts of ‘Go Hawks!'

But it must be remembered that under Coach Mike Smith, the Falcons are 0-3 in postseason play. Indeed it's time to shake off the playoff jinx!

Go Falcons!

For decades, Atlantans have woken up to Tom Sullivan on their radios.  But you might not know that he's also somewhat of an expert eBay seller, and he's got quite a story to tell.

They say the third time's a charm, and that's certainly the case for Candice Glover.  A third try on American Idol was just what she needed, and on Thursday night she was crowned the season 12 champ.
