Study claims half of food produced is wasted - FOX 35 News Orlando

Some staggering numbers coming out of a new report on food waste.

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers says about 4.4 billion tons of food is produced each year, but about half of it is never eaten.

The study claims that up to 30-percent of vegetables in the UK were not harvested because of their physical appearance.

Grocery stores in the UK are now rejecting some of the claims.
