VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Two men are behind bars, accused of beating a former friend and recording the incident.
Volusia County sheriff's deputies said Scott Lakhan, 18, and Casey Shoemaker, 22, both of Deltona, approached former friend Timothy Dankel last month on Howland Boulevard.
The 20-year-old Dankel says Lakhan was mad, because he accused him of using a stolen credit card, even giving deputies a sworn statement. Dankel says Lakhan said he was going to punch Dankel once in the face, and he would forget about it all.
Dankel agreed, but he says Lakhan didn't stop at one punch. While he was being beaten, deputies say Shoemaker recorded it all with his cell phone and posted it on Facebook.
Dankel tells FOX 35, "He hit me in my face, I had a busted lip, and on the back of my head he hit me. I didn't even know he kicked me in the face until I saw the video with the cops."
Deputies are not releasing the video, which has been removed from Facebook.
