MELBOURNE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
Melbourne police are investigating a suspicious death. Officers found the body of a A woman inside a home along Albert Drive.
Detectives said a friend of the woman became concerned after not being able to contact her, so the person came to her home late Friday morning and discovered the body.
Police are not saying how long the woman had been dead before she was discovered or the manner of death.
Detectives have stopped short of calling this a homicide, but say it appears suspicious. The medical examiner's office will remove the body and conduct an autopsy.
The woman's name is not being released.
