WASHINGTON -
A Maryland ninth grader has become a huge Internet and sports sensation after video of his no-look, over-the-head three-point shot during a weekend church league game went viral.
14-year-old Matt Demember is a freshman at Linganore High School in Frederick and he made the shot while his Damascus Road Community Church team was facing Redland Baptist Church last Saturday.
Demember's amazing shot at the buzzer even caught the attention of ESPN's Sportscenter, being chosen No. 1 in their Top 10 plays Thursday night.
Demember and his family joined us on FOX 5 News to describe his memorable shot.
"I was running around the house," Demember told us on when he found out that he had made ESPN's Top 10 list.
"It just kind of all happened so fast that it's gone from a couple thousand [Internet] hits to now close to a million," said Don Demember, Matt's father.
