A brush fire in Brevard County has grown to more than 200 acres. The fire that shut down SR 407 between I-95 and SR 528 is moving northwest.
No homes are in immediate danger, but the brush fire is said to have grown to 1,100 acres and it's expected to be up to 1,200 acres by Sunday morning. The fire was reported Saturday near Port St. John.
The Florida Forest Service and Florida Fish and Wildlife also responded to the scene to tackle the blaze. FWC is expected to keep a watchful eye on the fire throughout the night.
