Deputies searching for missing New Smyrna Beach woman
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a 46-year-old New Smyrna Beach woman who was reported missing early Monday afternoon after she left in an upset mental state.
Marsha Weeks was reported missing shortly before 1 p.m. on Monday. Family members are concerned because she has had some medical problems and has been acting unusual. She walked away from her home at 2059 Burma Road carrying a blanket, saying she was going to go into the woods.
Patrol deputies, motors units and investigators have been looking for her ever since and a Sheriff's helicopter also has been searching from the sky, but so far they've been unable to locate Weeks. Bloodhounds from Tomoka Correctional Institution also are assisting in the search.
Weeks is 5' tall and weighs about 100 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black and red flowered shorts and a turquoise-colored shirt.
Anyone who spots Weeks is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 386-423-3888.
