LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Fire officials say a faulty ceiling fan led to a fire in Lawrenceville that displaced a total of 6 people.
Fire officials say the blaze was reported at 4:26 p.m. and was under control at 4:50 p.m. Authorities say the fire was primarily located in the attic area of the duplex home and caused damage to an electrical service line.
Officials say the fire also caused minor damage to the interior of the home, but did not spread past the attic.
No injuries were reported and authorities say the five adults and child who were displaced by the fire are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.
