A limited-time, educational exhibit in Orlando gives visitors a unique insight into the inner workings of the human body. Our Body: The Universe Within showcases real human bodies, preserved by a special process, and allows visitors to learn about the different systems that make us tick."You can see how everything works inside the body," exhibit spokeswoman Heidi Pinchal told Fox 35's David Martin. "What we try to do is form the body into poses so the public can see how it works."The exhibit stopped by the Orlando Science Center several years ago, but it is back in Orlando through at least June 1 with new specimens.Pinchal said the family-friendly exhibit not only allows us to learn about anatomy and physiology, it shows us that although people may come in all shapes and sizes, we're all the same on the inside."The thing about the body is, you can be brown, black or white on the outside, but everyone is pink on the inside. Everyone has the same structure."Said Pinchal: "It doesn't matter what color our skin is, it doesn't matter how tall we are. If you're 7-feet tall or 5-feet tall, we have just about the same amount inside of us."For more information on the exhibit, go to OurBodyTheUniverseWithin.net or call 407-226-7220.
