NEWTOWN, Conn. -

Two women touched by the 2011 shooting rampage in Tucson are back from a trip to Connecticut, where they met with families of the victims of the Newtown elementary school massacre.

The mother of Christina Taylor-Green and Giffords aide Pam Simon took part in an anti-gun protest at a Connecticut Walmart. The demonstrators demanded that Walmart stop selling guns and ammunition. The bullets used in the Tucson shooting were purchased at Walmart.

Roxanna Green's daughter was killed in the Tucson shooting two years ago. Green knows the pain of losing a child.

"My daughter Christina Taylor-Green was murdered. She was 9 years old," says Green. "It's harder to get Sudafed… then it is to purchase one of these weapons."

Simon and Green say they know what Newtown is going through and they went there to listen and share.

On Dec. 14, a gunman killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

Simon was working for then-Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords when they were both shot at a Tucson constituent event on Jan. 8, 2011. Giffords and Simon were among 13 people wounded.
